Every aspect of our daily lives requires that we choose something. Unfortunately, we live in a world where we are inundated with choices.
If decisions are so important, then why do so many people struggle with them? Decision making comes down to making up your mind about something. However, big decisions have the power to change your reality in a heartbeat. Now, deciding whether or not you are going to eat an apple or an orange isn't going to drastically impact how your life. This is no way to live, which is why it's important to make the right choices. A lot of people make decisions unconsciously. However, every decision is associated with a consequence, whether it's positive or negative in nature. The types of decisions that we need to make vary in importance. Lynne Shaw, a business neuroscientist, says it is important that “Everyone in your team is able to make decisions quickly and skillfully…if you or your people hesitate for too long, money can be lost and morale can plummet.” If you want to become a successful entrepreneur or leader in any field, you need to be able to make clear, calm and rational decisions. Think about how many decisions you make every day, from the moment that you wake up, to the moment that you go to sleep.
